How to feed boars

Each ejaculation of boars is 250 milliliters. The total number of sperm is about 25 billion and the mating time is long. Therefore, more nutrients are consumed. In order to increase the fertility rate and the number of litters of the mating sows, the breeding boars should be kept well.
The boar's diet must be based on concentrates, properly matched with green fodder, and control the energy feed (corn, sub-powder, etc.), and must be limited to feeding, to prevent pigs from over-fertilizing, and not to eat too much roughage to avoid causing " Grass belly "prevents breeding.
For boars that are balanced throughout the year, the feed formula contains 12.97 MJ/kg of digestible energy, 15% crude protein, and 3 kg of feed per day. Seasonally bred boars need about 2.5 kg per day for the breeding season. In the event of busy breeding, animal feed such as eggs and fishmeal should be supplemented daily to ensure semen quality. In the non-matching season, about 2 kg of fine material is needed every day. If conditions permit, the boar can be fed with green and juicy feed all year round. Suggested boar feed include corn, soybean meal, fish meal, green feed, wheat bran and Fufeng 4% boar premix. The specific formula is: corn 65.5%, soybean meal 14.0%, fish meal 4.5%, wheat bran 8.0%, Rice bran was 4.0%, premix was 4.0%, crude protein was 15%, and energy was 12.76 MJ/kg.
