Hongze County, Jiangsu Province Adds 95,000 Mu of Efficient Fishery Area

In the first half of this year, Hongze County made great efforts to develop high-efficiency fisheries and achieved remarkable progress in the scale of high-efficiency fisheries in accordance with the work ideas of “county-level grasping of industry, township-level grasping of parks, and demonstration of villages”. Up to now, the county has added 95,000 mu of high-efficiency aquaculture this year, of which high-quality crabs have an efficient breeding area of ​​65,500 mu, shrimp and crab double hundred high-efficient breeding areas of 22,000 mu, and lobsters have an efficient breeding area of ​​0.75 million mu.

While the area for efficient fishery aquaculture continues to expand, large-scale breeding bases also show rapid growth. The county has newly developed 35 high-efficiency fishery bases, including 500 acres of contiguous high-quality crabs, 7 high-efficient breeding bases, 200 acres of contiguous shrimp and crab double-hundred efficient breeding bases, and 200 acres of contiguous lobster breeding bases. Completed the transformation of 3,800 mu of standardized fish ponds.
