Do not use pesticides that are strongly toxic to fish, such as sodium pentachlorophenol, fish extracts, and phenolics. When pesticides are sprayed, the field water should generally be deepened to more than 6 cm before spraying to reduce phytotoxicity. Aqueous solutions and emulsion pesticides should be sprayed in the afternoon after the dew is dry, with the sprayer facing upwards; dust pesticides should be sprayed when the dew on the rice sprouts is not dry in the morning, so that the pesticides can adhere to the surface of rice leaves and reduce the amount of pesticides dissolved in the water. . It is also possible to lure the fish into the fish ditch and fish gills when pesticides are applied, and then return the fish to the rice paddies after the disappearance of the drug, or to apply the pesticides in divided batches, that is, to apply half of the paddy fields first. After a few days, the other half of the paddy fields will be used to protect the fish from phytotoxicity, and rice and fish will be safely double-crossed.
