On September 27th, the author visited Liu Fuye, a village in Daliu Village, Cuizhai Town, Jiyang County, Shandong Province. This year, his tomato seedlings appeared on the seedbed and this self-sealing phenomenon occurred.
In Liu Fuye's seedbed, we found that the tip of the tomato was naturally capped and the upper segment was thinner. Through viewing and analysis, there are two main reasons for the growth of tomatoes at the top of the pre-harvest period:
First, the temperature difference between day and night is small. Tomato is a warm crop, sensitive to temperature, when the seedling temperature above 28 °C, the stems and leaves began to stop growing, 45 °C stems and leaves appeared sunburn. Tomato growth requires a certain temperature difference, the protection of the cultivation of tomato to axillary temperature 25 °C ~ 28 °C, night temperature 13 °C ~ 17 °C best, combined with changes in the temperature of the day, before noon 25 °C ~ 28 °C, afternoon full ventilation down to 20 °C ~ 25 °C, stop ventilation before and after the evening, the previous night requires a slightly higher temperature of 14 °C ~ 17 °C is appropriate, late at night 12 °C ~ 13 °C is appropriate, if the night temperature is higher than 17 °C longer time, it is easy Causes the top to stop growing. In production, attention should be paid to temperature management, especially night temperature management. If the weather is sunny, it can be used to control the night temperature as early as possible.
Second, boron deficiency. According to experimental observations in recent years, if boron is lacking, yellowing at the top part stops growing and even withering, so boron must be added to the seedbed and field soil. Boron fertilizer can be used as a base fertilizer, 1.5 kg of boron can be used per acre and a stack of organic fertilizer can be applied after each application, or 6000 times liquid natural brassinolide can be sprayed on the foliar——Shuofeng 481 and 800 times Fuli boron. better.
