The autumnal buds of fruit trees are cut

After the budding of the fruit tree seedlings in autumn, the nursery or the semi-emergence seedlings will not be produced in the current year. For the seedlings grafted to survive, the anvil should be cut in a timely manner to promote the fullness of the buds so that the buds can sprout in the spring of the second year. The method of cutting the anvil usually is: cutting the anvil once, that is, cutting the rootstock 2 centimeters above the bud before the budding and sprouting in the second spring. Although this method is labor-saving and easy to grasp, due to the retention of rootstock seedlings and the high water transpiration of the shoots, it will cause rootstock to lose water and affect survival. Since 2004, we have conducted tests on different anvil methods under the same soil, fertilizer, and water conditions in different locations in Shanting District, Zaozhuang City. Through several years of trials and production practices, it has been proved that the survival rate of autumn bud grafted seedlings is higher than that of a single shear anvil method.

Fractional anvil cutting method is: After budding grafting survived, in the bud above 30 cm at the folding rootstock, so that it seems broken even connected to the winter before the soil frozen, in the bud above 5 cm to cut rootstock to In the second spring, before budding and germination, the rootstock is cut at 2 cm above the bud, and after each anvil is cut, it is smeared with wax or a lacquer lacquer to evaporate moisture.

Fractional cutting anvil process is more complicated, but the survival rate is high. According to experiments, the apple seedlings adopt this method to have a survival rate about one time higher than that of an anvil cut, the hawthorn seedlings increased by more than 60%, and the pear trees increased more than 50%.
