Seven taboo cultivation

At present, during the peak season of Pleurotus ostreatus harvesting, the Korean Institute of Edible Fungi, Binhai County, Jiangsu Province (high-grade mushroom horticultural workers) summarized the seven taboos for high-yield cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus through years of practice as follows:

A bogey environment is not clean. Mushrooms and mushroom farms are piled up with miscellaneous materials. Disinfection treatment is not complete, and littering materials are randomly thrown, causing failure of the mushrooms.
Second bogey late temperature is too high. Pleurotus ostreatus belongs to the type of variable-temperature sturdy mushroom. The fruit body development temperature is 5-20 °C. If the mycelium maturation adopts large temperature difference culture (the temperature difference between day and night is about 10 °C), it can speed up the formation of fruit bodies. If the temperature is too high later, it will be difficult to form mushroom buds or mushroom buds to die in large numbers.
The three avoid air temperature is too large. The air relative humidity is maintained at about 70% during the fungus stage and about 90% during the fruiting period. If it exceeds 95%, it is not well ventilated, prone to fungal infestation, and the cap is also susceptible to discoloration and rot.
Four avoid improper use of water. After the mushrooming, if the spray water is too much or the water is poured, it will cause the water-stained form on the mushroom body, which will easily cause the blackening of the fester. If the moisture content of the base material is too small, it will cause the mushroom cover to shrink, dry and even die. The appropriate amount of small water light spray method can meet the lack of moisture in the base material.
Five avoid direct sunlight. The growth of mycelium does not require sunlight, and the fruiting stage only needs about the illuminance for normal reading. If direct sunlight can make the surface of the mushroom dry yellow, too weak to form a fine handle, lack of mushroom.
Six bogey bad ventilation. The fruiting stage does not change the air for a long time. Once oxygen is lacked, it can not form fruit bodies or form malformed mushrooms. If the wind is not suitable to suffer dry cold wind, dry hot air directly blowing mushroom body, there will be a large number of dead mushrooms, so the air should be light to stabilize.
Seven bogey harvest is not timely. Harvesting premature mushroom body development badly affects the yield; too late not only the quality declines, the weight is reduced, and the spores that ejected will affect the growth of the lower oyster mushroom. Generally, it is appropriate to harvest when the fungal cap is fully developed and the spores have not been ejected.
