Cultivation and Management Techniques of Muskmelon after Grafting

, temperature. Within 1-3 days after the grafting of melon, the indoor temperature is strictly controlled, the daytime temperature is 23-25°C, and the nighttime temperature is 20-22°C; after 7 days, the daytime temperature is controlled at 23-24°C and the nighttime temperature is 15-18°C to facilitate the grafted seedlings. The rapid healing of the wound and the growth of grafted seedlings resumed as soon as they survived. .
, humidity. Before the grafting, the seedlings will be irrigated first to increase soil and air humidity. In the next 2 to 3 days, the greenhouse shall be sealed so that the air humidity in the shed can be maintained between 90 and 100%, which will facilitate the healing of graft wounds. Afterwards, the ventilation and ventilation time inside and outside the greenhouse were gradually increased, and normal management resumed after 7 days.
, light. In order to prevent grafted seedlings from appearing wilting phenomenon, the grafted seedlings should be shaved in the next 3 days to avoid direct sunlight. In the next 3 days, the grasshoppers were completely put down. After 3 days, the grasshoppers were exposed one at a time and received light. With the increase of the number of days, the number of exposing films was gradually increased. After 10 days, all the grasshoppers were uncovered and entered into normal management.
, prevent disease. After grafted melon seedlings, because of their own wounds, but also in a high temperature and humidity environment, easy to infect a variety of diseases, can be combined with seedbed water spray in the wound healing process, with 75% chlorothalonil WP 600 times liquid spray to prevent melon seedling stage damping-off and root rot.
, cut off the root. About 7 days after melons were harvested, the wounds healed. At this time, the root of the scion should be cut off to make the scion and the rootstock form an integral whole. When the roots are cut off, the cut-off site should be as close to the interface as possible to prevent pathogens in the soil from causing infection through the wound; also prevent adventitious roots from forming scion roots, resulting in failure of grafting.
, in addition to chanting. After grafting, the newly emerged lateral buds on the rootstock are removed in time to save nutrients and promote the growth of the grafted seedlings.
