· The microscope should be protected from dust, moisture, excessive cold, overheating and acid and alkali corrosion when used or stored.

• After each use, turn the lamp brightness to the darkest, then turn off the power switch (to extend the lamp life).

· When observing a specimen with a microscope, it is best to first find it with a low magnification objective (4X, 10X) and then convert it to the desired high magnification objective. This makes it easier to find the image to be observed, and also avoids lens wear caused by the high working distance of the objective lens being too short.

· When using a high magnification objective to observe the specimen, be sure to cover the slide. Otherwise, not only the sharpness will be lowered, but also the observed liquid will be easily immersed in the high magnification objective. After using the 100X oil mirror, it must be wiped clean and the cedar oil exposed in the air. If it is too long, it will become thicker and dry. It is more difficult to wipe it at this time.

· After the microscope is used, cover the instrument with a dust cover to reduce the deterioration of the observation quality caused by dust. • If the eyepiece or objective lens is removed and stored, the eyepiece and objective lens should be placed in a special cover or placed. In a drying vessel.

· When the surface of the objective lens is dirty, it can be wiped with lens paper. If it is not cleaned, use a clean absorbent cotton (preferably degreased cotton) with a little xylene or a mixture (ether: ethanol 3:1). (Because xylene or a mixture is a flammable solvent, you must turn off the microscope power before wiping)

· The microscope should be repaired once a year. The maintenance should include: removing all optical path systems such as eyepieces, objective lenses, and condensers; adjusting the lifting drive system, the worktable moving system is tight and lubricating; the appearance is clean.
