Forced moulting is generally hunger and chemical methods. The method of forced moulting by starvation method is to cut off light and water, fasting for 5 to 7 days, the chickens begin to fade to the main wing feathers or lightly pull the main wing feathers to restore light and drinking water; sometimes the water is cut off for 2 to 3 days, then gradually resume feeding. The illumination time is maintained at 6 to 8 hours. From the 40th day of controlled illumination, the light is maintained for 10 minutes or 1 to 16 hours per day to maintain the arrival of the second egg production period.
4. Supply nutrition. During the off-season period, the chicken population needs less nutrients, and the required nutrients can meet their normal maintenance needs and the need to replace feathers. Dietary protein content of 12% to 14%, methionine added 1.5g/kg, calcium 0.8% to 1.0%, phosphorus 0.65%, feeding 2 times a day, free drinking water can be.
Gradually increase the light. When the rest of the flock is discontinued for 60 days or when some of the chickens start to lay eggs, light is gradually increased and the feed is replaced with egg production to encourage the flock to lay eggs again.
6. Drug prevention. 0.1% to 0.2% oxytetracycline powder was added to the feed for 5 days.
