In terms of packaging aesthetics, beverage packaging must allow consumers to clearly see the product inside, enabling them to check its quality—such as color and whether any sediment is present. At the same time, an appealing design helps attract attention, while also providing space for essential product information and promotional content. With the continuous advancement in packaging technology, a wide range of colorful and innovative packaging forms and materials have emerged. Among these, sleeve labeling has become a popular and widely used method in recent years. It not only highlights the unique shape of the container but also allows for vibrant and high-quality printing. This type of packaging stands out on store shelves and has gained consumer approval.
The tight-fitting sleeve label offers excellent visual appeal, but it can be costly to produce. To address this challenge, German company Krones AG has introduced a more cost-effective alternative: the "sealing shrink sleeve" technology. This system combines a Contiroll labeler, an ultraviolet (UV) curing tunnel, and a steam-shrink tunnel. Unlike traditional shrink sleeves, this process uses a steam-shrink tunnel paired with a hot air tunnel for efficient shrinkage. The film is sealed directly onto the container, and the new stretched polyethylene material enables up to 22% shrinkage, ensuring a snug fit.
The process begins with the film being wound from a reel around the container, with the edges bonded using UV-curable adhesive. The UV lamp then activates, curing the adhesive and preparing the label for the next stage. The packaged item is then moved into a 1-meter-long tunnel where the UV light is turned on, further solidifying the bond. The design of the UV lamps provides several benefits, including improved durability and performance.
After UV treatment, the product enters the steam-shrink tunnel, where the label shrinks and conforms perfectly to the bottle’s shape. The Shrinkmat steam tunnel, a newly developed component by Krones, features full insulation to minimize energy loss and protect operators from hot surfaces. Its modular design also allows for easy expansion, making it simple to add capacity when needed. Additionally, both UV and steam-shrink tunnels can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines or retrofitted in a bypass configuration, significantly enhancing overall production flexibility.
Essential Oil
Omega-3 fatty acid is a long-chain, polyunsaturated fatty acid found in plants and marine organisms. Studies have shown that saturated fatty acids have adverse effects on health, while omega-3 fatty acids, as polyunsaturated fatty acids, have many health benefits. Different types of evidence suggest that the decrease of omega-3 fatty acid concentration can cause mood disorders. Some preliminary research results suggest that it can effectively treat a variety of mental disorders, such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and dementia. For pregnant and lactating women, it is a safe and effective treatment.
There are eight sources of omega-3: Antarctic krill, seals (seals), deep-sea fish, purple perilla seed, flaxseed, qiyazi (qiyazi), seaweed, South American oil vine and yak.
Fish / fish oil: it should be noted that only deep-sea fish are rich in omega-3. Unlike other three plant products, fish contain cholesterol. People with diabetes, hypertension and other diseases should consult a doctor before consuming fish oil to supplement omega3. In addition, fish is a common allergen, which will cause allergic reactions in many people, including children. If you are prone to allergic constitution before eating, please consult your doctor. Deep sea fish oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which can significantly reduce cholesterol and soften blood vessels. Ruan Guangfeng, an expert of China food and nutrition information exchange center, said that EPA and DHA are the main components of fish oil that play a role in health care for the human body. They come from fish fat. The quality of fish oil is marked by the content of EPA and DHA.
Seaweed: the deep-sea rhynchophyta contains Omega-3. Some deep-sea fish ingest omega-3 because they prey on these algae. Because the existing methods of cultivating and extracting seaweed oil do great harm to the environment, it still needs some time to improve and improve in order to realize commercial production.
