How to cultivate celery seed in hot season

The optimum temperature for celery seed germination is 15~25 oc. It will be difficult to emerge when it exceeds 30 oc. In the hot season, seeds can be treated in the following two ways to promote their germination.

1. High-temperature treatment After soaking seeds for 8 to 10 days before sowing, they are soaked in cold water for 24 hours while changing water every 8 hours. Then knead the seeds and rinse the seeds with water. Drift off the impurities until the water is clear. The above seeds were wrapped in sandcloth and some of the water was squeezed out. Put in the refrigerator, keep the temperature around 5oc. Rinse the seeds once a day for 2 days with fresh water every morning and evening, and then spread the seeds in a bright environment. Rinse with cold water twice a day. After each flush, use a fan to blow the seed for 5 to 10 minutes. Blow off excess moisture from the seeds to prevent excessive moisture, resulting in insufficient oxygen and affecting germination. Generally after 5 to 6 days to germinate.

2. Cool treatment The seeds that have been soaked in the first method are wrapped in gauze and wrapped. Then hang it in the deep well from the surface of the water 40 to 50 cm, remove and rinse with water twice a day. After washing, the moisture on the surface of the seed should be dried with a fan to increase the oxygen around the seed, and then hang it in the well. After 6 to 8 days of treatment, germination can be sown.
